Catalog is a buy/sell marketplace WordPress theme coded with Bootstrap, HTML5, CSS and jQuery. The Catalog WordPress theme suitable for buy sell websites, marketplace sites, multi-vendor websites, personal showcase and similar projects. Idea is listing, directory style website with custom membership pages. The template 100% responsive ready (compatible all mobile devices), retina display ready, modern browsers (IE9+, Firefox, Safari, FireFox, Chrome etc.) support, easy to use theme options and preset color. Build your own marketplace site with tons of options and sections. The Catalog WordPress theme comes with all membership pages for example; edit profile, upload item, sale report, mega menu and dropdown menu support.

WordPress Version:

You have to use WordPress version 4.0+.

To run WordPress your host just needs a couple of things:

PHP version 5.2.4 or greater (recommended: PHP 5.4 or greater)
MySQL version 5.0 or greater (recommended: MySQL 5.5 or greater)

Install WordPress:

WordPress is well-known for its ease of installation. Under most circumstances, installing WordPress is a very simple process and takes less than five minutes to complete. Many web hosts now offer tools (e.g. Fantastico) to automatically install WordPress for you. However, if you wish to install WordPress yourself, the following guide will help. Now with Automatic Upgrade, upgrading is even easier.

Install Theme:

At first please make sure that you have unpacked the whole package what you have downloaded from themeforest. You can complete installation in two different ways:

WordPress Theme Manager - please go to Appearance > Themes > Add new > Upload, select zipped theme folder called catalog.zip and press Install Now button. The WordPress will do the rest for you.
FTP upload - upload non-zipped theme folder called catalog to /wp-content/themes/ folder in your WordPress installation folder on your server.

Install Plugins:

After activation your theme you see a submenu in your admin Appearance > Install Plugins. There are some required plugins and some recommended plugins, you need to install all required plugins but you can install recommended plugins also. Click to checkbox and select to install then install all plugins and active plugins.

Demo Content

After activation of our theme Catalog you need to install demo content. In our main files folder you will find demoContent.xml file. Step by step follow the instructions.

Log into your site as an administrator.
Make sure you activated your new theme before proceeding.
Install and Activated all required and recommended plugins
Go to Appearance->Import Demo Data and click Import Demo Data
Upload the demoContentApp.xml/demoContentPhotoStock using the form provided on that page.
Upload catalog-widgets.wie for uploading widgets
Click Import Demo Data
Please be patient while Demo Importer import all the content. Posts, Pages, products, and Menus are imported. You will need assign the menu a theme location.

Catalog Page Settings

In page settings there are two sections.

1. Header Settings

2. Layout Settings

1. Header Settings: In header settings you can easily set custom header title.

2. Layout Settings: In layout settings you can easily set full width page, page with left sidebar or page with right sidebar. You can also set diffrent sidebar if you select layout right sidebar or left sidebar.

In our theme Catalog there is five default sidebar. But you can add as much as possible sidebar from theme options(Sidebar options). There are few steps to add new sidebar from theme options.

1. Go to admin panel Appearance > Theme Options > Sidebar Options

2. Click add new

3. Type your sidebar title

4. Type your sidebar description(optional)

5. Click Save changes

6. Go to Appearance > Widget

7. See your widget area, that's it.

Catalog theme comes with a super shortcodes plugins. You can easily add shortcodes as you want. Here a lot of shortcodes which is ready to use in any pages, posts or products. Here we have added how to add shortcodes in your page, post or product. Only few steps are here.
